Should You Talk to Your Kids about Using The Total Transformation Program?

Whenever we’ve started a new discipline technique, or have added to it or taken away from it, we’ve discussed the changes with our children. It’s gratifying to know that James Lehman also agrees with this action. The discussion depends on age and developmental levels. However, now Thomas is 11 and Brandon is 8 and both are able to understand the concepts of “punishment,” “discipline,” etc.

We sat the boys down at the dining room table for a family discussion. I spoke for Daddy and I and made it clear that I was speaking on behalf of the “parental unit” that we are together. Some call that a “united front.” What follows is the basic agenda I followed:

Total Transformation Program: The First Step to Understanding Our Child’s Behavior

My husband Jerry and I sat down eagerly to listen to the first lesson in the audio portion of the Total Transformation program. We had already completed the introduction and couldn’t wait to hear the good news: How to stop our son Thomas’ obnoxious, abusive and disrespectful behavior!

Thomas is our 11 year old son (from my previous marriage) and he happens to have special needs which include Asperger’s, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Quite the mouthful and handful!

I began using the Total Transformation Program by James Lehman the minute it landed in my mailbox. I even opened it up in the car before driving home so that I could inspect the contents. My husband, upon seeing the program folder in my hand and the smile upon my face, grimaced and said “Oh, it’s here, huh?”

Dear Tina:

I recently purchased the Total Transformation Program to use with my 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter. They’ve noticed that something’s a little different with mom, but they don’t know what it is. Should I let them know that I’m using the program?

– Jackie, Parsippany, N.Y.

I have to admit that one of the most interesting phenomenons that I encounter on the phone has to be when a parent tells me that they’re doing exactly what James Lehman says, but they’re not getting any results…Then they’ll proceed to share what they’ve been trying. Pretty quickly, it becomes evident that there are some discrepancies happening in there somewhere.

I can so relate to this. Pretty much with anything we try there are times when what we think we’re doing is very different than what we’re actually doing.
