How can I motivate my 14 year old with ADHD when it comes to school. And what are the differences between ADHD and ADD? My younger son who is 10 is also having trouble in school, we think he may have ADD.

My son has ADHD AND OCD it is a challenges with these children. On thing I have learned is to stay focus and constistant do loose control. When you say something mean any and don't change your mind. My son is 10 years old and doing good in school but his action sometimes over rule him. I don't take any mess I am the parent and your are the child and you will listen. I very rarely have to spank him punishment does not work I am firm it is what it is and if or buts about it. I think you should try to take away all distrations meaning television and make her do her homework with you. ADD is attention deficent disorder and ADHD is the hyperactivity of the disorder. If, she has ADD and go untreated sometimes it hard for her to concetrate.
