If you’re going to the BlogHer ’12 Conference in New York this week, be sure to look us up! We are attending the conference for the first time this year, and I have to say, we are so excited to be going. Today I had to take a minute and really appreciate how far Empowering Parents has come since the early days of our website, when we sent our newsletter to a handful of loyal readers. At last count, our readership is at 500, 000 people per month — and counting! If you’ve been reading us since the beginning, thank you for coming back every week and sharing your family’s progress with us. If you’ve just found us, welcome — we hope you’ll find the parenting help and support you need.

At Blogher, we’re excited to be meeting other editors and bloggers from big parenting websites to just-been-hatched mommy blogs. One of our goals is to sign up some talented new bloggers to join our dedicated Parent Blogger Team. We’ll also be attending the cool seminars BlogHer is offering, and hearingĀ  Katie Couric and Martha Stewart speak. (I’m also looking forward to the parties, which look like they go until 1 a.m. if you have the stamina. Not sure how late I’ll make it, but I’m impressed with my fellow moms! )

Please follow us on Twitter to hear all about our adventures at Blogher — or come meet up with us if you’ll be there!
